That was cool. I knew I could never make Bella an obvious costume, so I’m thinking Alice now. I have the Rosalie hair, but everything else about me is Alice. My friend and I were planning to dress up as Arwen and Eowyn from LotR this year, but now she wants to dress up as a video game character with her sis, so this might be a cool idea for me. If my brother would just read the books (and I think he’d like them) I could easily dress him up as Edward (the make up would be a challenge, but it’s unecessary really), but whatever.

ummm…i really think you should change the name of the spanish link from adviso de costumbres, first of all, adviso isn’t a word. aviso would be warning. and costumbres means customs, not costumes. so i really think it should say: ideas para disfraces de halloween en espanol.

Thanks, that’s what happens when you ask someone to help you with posting. GAGH!

Wow. These tips are so cool! I love the eyes! Why couldn’t they use those in the movie?

Great. I’m Indian. No vampire costumes for me. I don’t want to be a werewolf girl…AAAAAARGH

OMG, Nikita, I totally feel your pain. The one thing I legitimately hate about twilight is that all the major female characters are white. And no, Leah and Emily do NOT count.

Pearl and Nikita - even though I’m white, I was always pissed about that. It isn’t really fair how all the vampires are white, except in Breaking Dawn when some non-white vampires came in but those ones were described with long faces.
The guide is only good to people who are pretty, which I’m not. so if I went as Alice or anyone I’d just DESTROY their character with my big nose. lol

      Same here.
I’m even to dark to be one of the werewolves, so went it comes to Twilight costumes, all attempts are moot.
I thought that all vampires were white in her books anyway? Didn’t she say once that there was some Mexican vampire with obvious Latino features, but was still as pale as can be?

That was a lot of fun reading. I really like the How to advise for girls. There was a lot of great tips.

i think that while the guide is useful, you have to still (to a certain amount) look a teensy bit like the character. And of course be pretty. *sigh*

GUYS! they updated the guides to dress like a nomad. there’s more options now!!

thank you for posting this lex!

but i think it doesn’t matter if you’re ethnic. if you read the guide the point is that you look super gorgeous like a vampire. so you can be yourself, not necessarily a character. just make yourself look super pretty and wear the golden contacts, it can still work. that’s how i’m going to do it. i’m ethnic too.

cool ideas! i was thinking that i could be alice, but alice recruited to the volturi, not that that would EVER happen. remember when edward was saying that in aro’s thoughts he had edward on one side and alice on the other and bella shudders picturing them in black cloaks and crimson eyes? so i was going to dress up as alice with red eye contacts and a black cloak.

      oooh nice idea ;).

i want to be a vampire, but my own vampire. like, not a character from Twilight, because I don’t resemble any of them. just me as a vampire.

i’m doing the whole vampire thing but not twilight, only bc it would still not be very convincing to ppl that haven’t read the book that i’m a vampire with no fangs.
-and plus i can’t do the contacts bc i will be wearing my prescription contacts already, not enough time to order special ones.
so, i have some really awesome fangs:)

hmmmm…i’m going for the twilight look… Not exactly one of the characters but, as a vegan vampire. I already have the contacts so, yeah i was wondering how i was going to achieve the clothes and so forth.. Awesome tips!

Hm. I’m probably going to be a vampire, maybe not a Cullen, but a nomad or something. I have really dark eyes, so I have the “hungry” look. I wanted to be a werewolf, but no tips. *sigh*
