Calling all Illinois Residents

This reminder just in from Cullengirl:

"Twilight is up for the Abraham Lincoln Award in IL- a book award that teens get to pick as their favorite. Teens, teachers, and librarians need to go to their libraries-school and/or public library to see if their libraries are participating in the Abraham Lincoln Award and vote for Twilight! The more people vote, the better! Voting ends Monday, March 3rd."

Emily Osment reviews Twilight

We all saw the clip of Emily and Whoopi discussing Twilight on The View.  Now Emily has reviewed Twilight for Cosmogirl.  The review is great and Emily seems to enjoy the books as much as we all do!

Please remeber to keep your comments appropriate.

Billy BUrke playing the role of ChArlie

After weeks of speculation Creator.com has comfirmed that Billy Burke will indeed be playing Charlie Swan in the upcoming Twilight movie.  The article can be found here.  The information is in the last section under The Big Screen Scene.  Congratulations to Billy Burke, we are sure he’ll be a great Charlie.

Thanks to poetrytoprose for the heads up!

Peter Facinelli Updates His Myspace and Robert Pattinson Talks about fan reaction

Peter Facinelli, who is playing Carlisle Cullen in the upcoming Twilight movie,  updated his MySpace answering a few fan questions.  No hard feelings, Peter, for not answering mine 🙂

Also, the people who can’t seem to get beyond typecasting seem to have gotten to Robert Pattinson. Hey Robert, here we’re all about giving you a fair chance!

Host Tour Updates

I just received the following information from Stephenie’s publicist:

"Could you please clarify that the Host tour is announced until the week of March 10th, not the actual 10th…I don’t want the fans to get over anxious.

Also, I saw that there are some upset fans about the cities changing – any information on ARCs are subject to change.  Since ARCs are meant for industry people, this usually isn’t an issue…it was never meant as a confirmed listing of signings."

Eclipse Discussion

In responce to the hundreds of requests that I have received about the Eclsipe area of the site, I can now say that we are officially on top of it!  I have to appologize for this taking so very long, but I am THRILLED by the way the mods have banded together to get the Eclsipe discussion area filled!  I should be able to update that area of the site very regularly for the next few weeks.  Yeah to the mods!

The Preface and Chapter One: Ultimatum have been posted.  You can find the discussion questions for the Preface and for Chapter One over on the message boards in the new forum titled "Fire and Ice."   Cocoa did these first two, so we have her to thank for getting us started.

The Host Tour

Stephenie’s website announced today that the details on her Host Sigining Tour would be released on March 10, 2008.  All events will be ticketed events, so look for details on March 10, 2008 and reserve your space immediately so you aren’t faced with a "sold-out" situation.

The tour will start on May 6, and visit the following cities: Minneapolis, Kansas City, Houston, Dallas, Phoenix, Salt Lake City, Denver, Portland, Los Angeles and San Diego.

They also mentioned that she would not be doing a large signing tour for Breaking Dawn, so if one of these cities is close to you, don’t miss out on a Stephenie sigining experience.

We don’t have this 100% confirmed (an employee leaked it on the IMDB a couple of weeks ago), but Stephenie will probably be at Thanksgiving Point in Utah on May 16th.

Right now I know the site is running a little slow. Hang in there, things like this happen when you move something as big as the Lexicon.

Just to give you an idea here is the number of hits we have per day:

Feb 21  220,000 (we were down a good portion of the day)
Feb  20 330,000
Feb 19  500,000

Right now (for you tech people)  we are waiting for the DNS to update and and some final moving  of data.

Eclipse Special Edition

I just wanted to make sure that everyone was aware that the Special Edition for Eclipse was all ready on pre-order.  The book will include two t-shirt transfers as well as the first chapter of Breaking Dawn.  I believe it will also include a full color print of the cover of Breaking Dawn.  It will be available on May 31st.  You can pre-order the book at the Lexicon’s Amazon Shop.

Other pre-orders for The Host and Breaking Dawn are also available.
