Peter Facinelli Updates His Myspace and Robert Pattinson Talks about fan reaction

Peter Facinelli, who is playing Carlisle Cullen in the upcoming Twilight movie, updated his MySpace answering a few fan questions. No hard feelings, Peter, for not answering mine 
Also, the people who can’t seem to get beyond typecasting seem to have gotten to Robert Pattinson. Hey Robert, here we’re all about giving you a fair chance!

Ugh, I hate hearing how fans have been giving Rob a hard time. He’s going to be absolutely brilliant as Edward. People just need to give him a chance! Is there anyway fans can write him to let him know they support him?

I think after the official Cullen pictures were released, most fans realized how silly they had been to judge so harshly. I think Rob is gonna do an awesome job and I couldn’t be more excited about this film!

ps. the lexicon should definitely find a way to contact robert and show him that he has way more loving fans than crazy haters

it was just that picture on meyer’s website that threw everyone off
i just want him not to feel so under pressure

Robert looks adorable in that interview picture. He cleans up so nicely. I think he will make a perfect Edward. Just think about it, he isn’t average looking.. He is beautiful and has so many of the qualities that Stephenie describes in the books…. I wish there was a way to let him know that there are just as many (if not more) people out there that LOVE him as Edward as there are haters. He needs a boost in confidence. Nobody wants to hear negative criticism about themselves all the time. Poor kid! I think he’s adorable!

Seriously, grow up and get the hell over it! If you don’t like Robert for Edward, DON’T WATCH THE MOVIE! Don’t send him hate letters, cause that wont do anything! They’re not going to “uncast” him cause no one likes him so deal with it! Negativity is just gonna make him regret taking the role. Personally Robert was hard to picture as Edward for a while but I have complete faith in him and he’ll do an AMAZING job! He is Edward, he looks like Edward and he’s an AWESOME actor!

Why would peaople send hate letters to Robert? Thats really mean. I mean come on people how would you like him someone sent you hate letters about your looks cant get much lower then that. And I think Rob. is a pretty good choice for Edward I mean you cant make everyone happy because Edward looks different in all of our eyes so suck it up and be happy that there making a movie in the first place or dont bother going to go see the movie because it rude and I think they did a pretty good job finding an Edward!!!!

Who are these people that are going out of their way to make Robert Pattinson feel bad and why are they doing it? It doensn’t matter whether or not you like him, it isn’t right to send hate mail to someone for accepting a job in an exciting film. We haven’t even seen his interpretation of Edward yet. I wish these people would get a life. At least wait until the film comes out to criticize the guy. The fact of the matter is, that since Robert is not a vampire and is just playing one in a film there are going to be some differences. I’m sorry. I hope this comment isn’t too angry for the lexicon.

I hope that Robert proves me wrong. I was really sad when they said that was who would be playing Edward. I wish it would’ve been Steven Strait. Robert is just so little, and when i thing about it, he doesn’t make me feel like i would be safe with him. Sorry. We’ll have to see though. He would totally look better with a different hair color. Anyways, i think Peter is a good roll though, and i think they did good with the other cast. I can’t wait to find out who Jacob is though!!!!! I’m dying inside, i hope they don’t choose someone horrible.

I never ever thought that Robert couldn’t pull off Edward.
He was my second overall choices for Edward.
I only had three, and I was sure they all could pull it off.EASILY.
I love Robert, though I see him as Cedric Diggory most of all, I am sure he will be incredible. I am excited about him portraying Edward Cullen.
No doubt he’ll do his best… though some hate him as Edward.
HE WILL BE AMAZING. I am very sure of that.
And, I am so happy that Peter answered even those few questions.

I think Robert is perfect for Edward and I’ve thought so since the moment I heard he was cast. I believe that he not only has the looks for the part, but the skills as well. Plus, after seeing those Cullen photos, why would anyone think any different. I know he will do well, and I know that he will prove those angry fans wrong. I’m all for him!
And as for Peter, I love the fact that everyone’s calling him ‘dad.’ That right there tells me he’s already got Carlisle to perfection.

Once they chose Robert for Edward….it was a no brainer…there is an intensity that Edward has that can only be captured by a few actors…and there is one movie that he did called The Haunted Airman…where he is a troubled man…and he is perfect…Edward is supposed to have a raw genuine good looks and that is what Robert has…i love him for Edward and have loved him for Edward since the beginning…all these girls are still hooked on that french guy…once the promo pics came out…it proved that the only problem they had with the cast was Jasper’s hair…haha…so GO ROBERT!!…he IS going to prove them wrong…and he is going to ROCK THE ROLE!!

I Cant believe people really cant see him as Edward, just the other day i looked him up wanting to see an interview that he had done so i could hear And SEE what he Was like, when he was speaking,(the real Robert,not acting) I SWEAR,I WAS BLOWN AWAY AT JUST THAT, THE WAY HE EXPESSES HIMSELF JUST IN EVERYDAY LIFE AND HIS EXPRESSIONS THAT HE NATURALLY DID WITH HIS FACE AND EVEN HIS BODY LANGUAGE AND IN HIS WHOLE MANNER THAT HE CARRIED HIMSELF IS EXACTLY HOW I WOULD HAVE IMAGINED EDWARD CHARACTER, it was CRAZY IT WAS SO EASY PICTURING HIM AS EDWARD. I feel embarressed for the people that have written him hatemail…that is one of the pettiest, lowest, most immature thing that someone could do and its totally inexcusable that they’re judging him without even giving him a chance. I mean honestly, grow up. I personally think he is a phenomenal actor, just from the small bit in Harry Potter that I saw him in, and I think that everyone will fall in love with him after we see him in action.

I’m not gonna hate on the hate mail senders. If hating on someone they’re typecasting as ONE role, and not even giving the guy a chance [considering the MOVIE isn't even out yet.] is their thing, fine, free speech is okay. I’ll agree that it’s immature and that Summit isn’t just going to UNCAST Rob because a few fans don’t like him. Big Deal. Personally, I think he’ll make an awesome Edward Cullen. And apparently- Stephenie Meyer and Summit Entertainment agree. And they are the ones that matter.
As for Peter, he convinced me as Carlisle the minute I saw him as a blonde. GO ROB AND PETER!

I’m glad he is pumped to prove me wrong, cause he has big shoes to fill! His hair looked good in that shot, but he is still not my Edward, sorry Robert. I’m still a little worried about them rushing into the first movie so fast and already planning the rest of the books as movies when the film has yet to begin filming. And no I didn’t send a letter to him about the Diggory thing (ok, maybe telepathically), but he is starting to grow a tinsy bit on me. Good Luck!

ahhh i cant even explain how much i LOVE robert pattinson! he is the perfect edward…welll at first i was sceptical that he wouldnt be able to do this role because idk he just wasnt the edward i thought of while reading the books…but now! ive definitly grown to love him as edward..first off hes gorgeous, hes got the most attractive accent, hes not at all cocky and stuck up like i thought he would be, hes really down to earth, and hes really goofy it makes him even cuter! gah i love him! but for the sake of all the other fans who think differetly im thrilled that hes taking on this role with a positive attitude wanting to prove everyone wrng!!!!i know he’ll be a great edward!

Some of the Twilight fans need to get over the fact that Pattison may not be your ideal Edward. We should all be thankful that Hardwicke decided to make a film out of our favorite books. We should not criticize the actors because they are trying to do the best they can to represent our characters.
We should only show love and support to the actors and crew so that they know how much we love Twilight and appreciate everything they are doing for us.

This makes me feel so guilty. I used to find it hard to accept him as Edward as well.
But now I’ve changed! After seeing a lot of pictures, videos and filmography of Robert, (HE LOOKED ODD IN THE FIRST PIC ON SM’S SITE. BUT IN HIS OTHER PICTURES HE LOOKED SO HOTTTTT.) …I’M CONVINCED. Even more so when I saw the promo pictures for Twilight. Robert looked gorgeous and extremely suitable for Edward. It hurts me to say this but he’s more appropriate for Edward than Gaspard is. (But my heart belongs to Gaspard. :D)

Well I just read the WHOLE article. It did talk more about the filming. I am so glad to know that he has a personal trainer!! YES, I can’t wait to see his “Edward body”.

robert IS edward hands down. he is gorgeous, he has perfect lips, perfect height, perfect bone structure… those whiny bitches need to get over themselves. if they’re truly twilight fans then they should be happy over the decisions made by the casting directors. SM is definitely pleased by it, why shouldnt we?

I finally broke down and ordered Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire to see Rob in a movie. He’s just so darn adorable and have heard such good things about him in this movie. I’ve never watched a Harry Potter movie, but for him….anything!!!

I think Robert and Kristen will blow us all away. I think they are cast very well. Its the rest of the Cullen fam that I am not so sure about…Nikki does not strike me the least bit as “Rosalie”, so she better be an amazing acress. I could buy Jackson as “Jasper” if they would just fix his hair - those preview pics make him look awful! Its too big and too fake blonde.

Katie: i am a harry potter fan. probably because i have kids, but robert is great as cedric. you will not be disappointed. robert has the cutest rosy cheeks in this movie, in every shot too. it is absolutely adorable. he looks amazing. ENJOY every minute of him.
Christina: i too am anxious about certain scenes. some of my favs are when edward has to tamper with bellas memory in order to get her on his back again, and in her bedroom when he explains mind over matter. I can’t wait to see them just stare at each other. I hope it’s powerful enough to feel. Stephenie does such a good job at describing it in her book. It’s so powerful!
It’s nice we have all this stuff to comment on, or we would go crazy waiting.

Well I wasn’t too pleased with the idea of having Robert play Edward, not because he played Cedric Diggory before, but simply because in my eyes he doesn’t really fit the idea I have of Edward, however that does not mean I’m going to go send him hate mail because of that, I’ve got nothing against him, in fact he seems like a pretty cool person.
I mean, poor guy, he sure as hell doesn’t deserve having to deal with a bunch of bitchy whiny fans. He was simply lucky, he landed the role of Edward, and I’m sure the directors knew what they were doing when they casted him, so I’m sure his gonna do a good job.

at first i was all about hating Robert, but as time goes on i get more and more used to the idea. i would never go so far as to send hate mail, because well i have a life, however i really dident like it. i guess i was one of those people who could never picture anyone so perfect as edward should be. but i have re-red the series a few times, picturing the cast, as the movie cast. so i began to get used to the idea. for anyone else haveing issues with the cast, i suggest you do the same. you might not like it but at least you will start to get used to it.

OMG, I cannot believe people. Robert will be an excellent Edward. How can people be so hateful. I say that everyone get together and send him letters telling him how great he is for excepting a role as the best vampire there is and how we support him and can’t wait to see him in Twilight. I feel really bad for him and I know that he will not disappoint us. I cannot believe people can be so hateful. I admit at first I had my doubts but now I can’t picture anyone else playing him. I am a teacher and I have been reading Twilight to my students. They love it and cannot wait for the movie to come out. Honestly, when I found out Robert would be playing Edward I was thrilled. I loved him as Cedric (he’s gorgeous). However, fans do have their opinions. That’s what I keep telling my students who keep bickering over why he should or shouldn’t play Edward. Everyone has their own opinion and taste of what is “perfect.” Well, I’ve got news for you…nobody is!!! Otherwise, all of my students would have a crush on the “same guy.” I do however, in my personal opinion, think Robert is perfect for the role of Edward. I hope he blows all of those “haters” away!!!!

alot of people say that robert is the wrong person to pla edward cullen. but i think they are wrong. their couldnt be anyone better to play the part. i mean when i read the books which i have alot n i mean alot of times. robert and kristen are exactly how i imagined edward and bella. it is like too perfect. robert is going to prove everyone who thinks that he shouldnt be edward wrong. :] i love edward cullen and robert pattinson. robert IS edward.

Pattinson & Stewart pulled it off! Twilight was great (as far as budget would allow). Can’t wait for New Moon & the Twilight DVD. Hope the new director won’t let us addicted fans down. Thank you daughter for sharing Meyer’s novels! Will never be the same.
