i thought most of them were really really good answers that should hopefully make some of the haters feel better … now lets just have her write ms and i will be happy again

I am afraid to go to the MS playlist…I am going to just cry…die…this is just too painful!!!

I know! I was looking forward to celebrate when midnight sun came (as a book) and the playlist. I can’t even make myself read MS

I’m excited about the playlist…but I refuse to read MS. I won’t read it until it comes out in book form…if that never happens, so be it. I am going to stay honest to Stephenie and wait until her perfect version (hopefully) comes out.

I agree with a lot of you guys. I can’t bring myself to read MS yet…maybe if she actually says “Hey this book is NOT going to be published, get over it…” then I will but right now as long as there is a CHANCE this will be a book… I’m not touching it.

I loved her answers, very insightful XD although I feel bad that she has to answer them so thouroughly, why can’t readers just accept something as it is? A Simply written (that’s not to say that it’s not WELL written XD) Lovestory between a girl and a vampire? Which makes no sense anyways XD

I loved the answers to the questions. They make sense to me. Although, I didn’t have any problems with the book.

The FAQ’s for BD were perfect. Stephenie is a gem and I love her and support her feelings, but I am so sad about MS, I wanted that more than anything, but I will sit tight and hope that Steph- can someday give us Edwards voice again.

The FAQ was great! A lot of my questions were answered. I do have one question. Why aren’t Rachel and Rebecca (Jacob’s sisters) werewolves?Still depressed about MS though, but who isn’t?

Yeah she posted up that playlist a couple days ago and I was so sad to see it there, i couldn’t even look at what songs were. I always listen to all the songs on the playlists AFTER I finish whatever book it was from. I’m not going to change that now.

The Q&A were great and helped me understand Breaking Dawn even more. I am super sad about MS, I understand that she is completely upset and feels betrayed…but I was sooo looking forward to reading Edwards words and thoughts…sigh, I am holding out hope that she will feel better sooner than she thinks and will finish the book and surprise us all.

    12. Kizmet Says:
      September 1st, 2008 at 5:45 pm

Team Twilight, Rachel and Rebecca left the area well before any vampires were around. Since the gene is only triggered by the presence of vampires, they didn’t turn when they were kids/teenagers. And now they’re adults so it’s too late, even when someone like Rachel does come back - just like Billy and Charlie and Sue didn’t turn.

The FAQ was wondeful. It was very insightful, and answered alot of my questions about BD, Way to go Steph. :)

I looked at the Midnight Sun playlist, and I have skimmed, only skimmed the 12 chapters we have so far, but I’m not up to reading it word-for-word just yet. If and/or when Stephenie chooses to start writing Midnight Sun again, which I really hope she does, I might read the 12 chapters, but I can’t do it just yet.

      Quote from Stephenie:
Someday, if I continue with the Twilight universe, maybe it will become necessary for me to know who Embry’s dad is. I’m not to that point, and I don’t want to just give a glib, “Oh it’s ___________” kind of answer, because I might regret it later.

I just noticed that all of the playlists now have a player on them. When did that happen? I love it!

    20. Sarah-Lynn Says:
      September 1st, 2008 at 6:17 pm

I am so glad she posted the FAQs!! Now I feel complete. Obviously, there were Qs she couldn’t answer before BD’s release, because it would give too much of the story away. I’m glad to finally read how Bella’s pregnancy was possible. Maybe now things will cool down, knowing that Steph didn’t hide info from us… it was always there, it just wasn’t part of the story yet.

As for Midnight Sun…*sigh*… I just don’t know if I’m going to read it yet. I really want to, but I understand why people say they won’t, in order to be true to SM and hold out for the completed work. We don’t know how long that will be, or if it will be, and we don’t know if she is going to leave it on her site. Do I go ahead and read it off her site, because she’d rather us read the legal copy instead of supporting the leaker? Do I not read it in support of SM, and take the chance that she’ll pull it from her site or never finish it, and then I’ll not know what happened, and not be able to discuss it with other fans? Dilemma…

    21. rebecca Says:

Did you notice that on the Midnight Sun playlist she sais “Since I don’t know when/if I’ll get back to writing…”, the word “when” came first over “if” - there’s still hope. I know I’m pulling somthing out of nothing but I have to keep hoping.

Also, reading the comments here, I feel it’s an opportunity for me to chime in and say that I, too, am feeling sad about Midnight Sun. I can’t seem to bring myself to go read it, even though I have been looking forward to the book coming out. There’s a place for it on my shelf, and I think Five is a very good number of Books to have in a Beautiful Black, White and Red row.

We here at Aluna Rathbone are appaled that someone would actually go behind Stephenies back and leak out Midnight Sun.

We are also disappointed that Stephenie is considering not publishing the book at all and has since pu it off indefinately.

We would like to show our support for Stephenie and would also love to encourage her to continue writing Midnight Sun and all other books she is writing.

Please, help us with this project.

      Project Save Midnight Sun!

We have set up a special email account for Save Midnight Sun.

Please send all letters to the following email: [email protected]

I should tell you that I, Aluna, and the rest of the administrators here at Aluna Rathbone will be reading these so as to not send anything that would be considered hateful. That is not what this project is about. This is about encourageing her to continue.

I think its great that SM listed answers to FAQ, very nice of her too. Sadly, I don’t think that’s going to help ease the bitter hate the “OTHER SIDE” feel for her… there is no way to reason with those people, too full of hate for BD and for SM!!! In there eyes she can’t do anything right.

I’m not reading MS, like most of you, I have to much respect for SM and the Twilight Saga! Comments like this and all the others that have been posted shows her that her fans support, is truly like know other. ?sorry for type-o?

Stephenie is just amazing. I love Breaking Dawn and think it is the perfect wrap up to the saga. I am reading it for the 4th time, and each time I enjoy it more. I am so impressed with the attention to detail and the way Stephenie tied up all the loose ends. This was her story to tell and I think she did it to perfection. I love a happily ever after ending. I wish I could thank Stephenie personally for the hours of enjoyment I have spent in her wonderful world of Twilight!

She’s great! and so nice that’s why I have so much respect for her. I wont read MS either!!!! I will patiently wait for as long as it takes, because I have faith that one day she will finish it.

I love her answers to all the questions. :) Made me so sad to find out about MS being leaked. I wasnt going to read it because I didnt wanna be dishonest to SM, but since she has put it on her site I’ll probley read it. I still havent been able to bring myself to read it though cause it still feels kinda dirty to read it when SM wanted us to wait for it to be published. I just wish this wouldnt have happened so it wouldnt have to be a sad thing. But I am excited about her new book she is gonna write though. :D

I totally understand her point of views on things.

“What are you going to do next? Will you continue with the Twilight universe?

I think I need a break from vampires. At this exact point in time, I don’t feel like I will go back to Forks. However, I also don’t feel comfortable with telling people what I had planned for further novels. Maybe part of me is protecting those secrets because I’m not ready to leave my vampires behind. Or maybe it’s just habit from five years of compulsory secrecy. I’m sure it will be a while before I figure out which one is the real reason. Things will probably be clearer after I’ve been away from the stories for a while.

I really enjoyed working on The Host, doing something totally different, and I’d like to have that experience again of starting a new world from scratch. I have several other stories that I’ve been waiting to work on. At this moment, I’m torn between two, but I’m planning to commit to one of them very soon.”

Whatttt!? No! No Breaks from vampires..and no committing to any other stories..besides MS. =[

::sigh:: I honestly think SM just needs a “break” from the vamps.
That’s probably why she doesn’t feel like finishing MS right now..
I think if we give her some time, and after the movie comes out, she’ll get back on track with the book.
Or maybe she just needs to write and come out with at totally new and different novel to get back to MS.
Idk, I all i know is that she’s not completely done w/ MS and Edward.
And I believe in Stephenie she WILL NOT leave her fans in the dust. She <3’s us! lol her crazy little fandom.

Wow. I didn’t think it was possible for the heartbreak to get any worse, but the fact that she put up her partial playlist really did me in. Especially the “Enjoy.” So dismissive and cold to me. Where I felt depressed, numb, void of hope at the beginning of the weekend regarding the leak (which I never read; I refuse to do things like that) and the partial draft post, the playlist was just kind of the icing on the cake for me. Usually I listen to each song and find lyrics to each one (if I don’t already have the cd), so I can really absorb what SM was getting out of each song in the plot…but I scanned the song list and left her site. I didn’t listen to any of it. I did read the partial draft that she put up, over the weekend, and it’s just so wonderful, and it makes me so much more sad to think about it, having read it. I wish I hadn’t read it now, because it only makes me more and more impatient for the finished book, which brings on the numb feeling right after it. It’s already my favorite of the series. Twilight was my favorite, with BD, Eclipse, and New Moon in that order. Midnight Sun, even in it’s “imperfect partial state” is now my favorite.

I’m really grateful she put up the BD FAQ, which I’m going to try to read tonight…I don’t know though - it might have to wait; it’s too depressing just being on her website right now. But when I saw that “when/if” above the playlist, I really could have cried. That sounds so melodramatic for myself, but seriously, it’s THAT upsetting to me that she’s putting MS on hold or never finishing it. I really want to read all of the stories SM has in her head…but it just seems so imbalanced to me to have her go about her other writing before we get Edward’s full story. I’m content to wait forever until she “comes back” to Forks to pick up the story in Leah or Renesmee’s POV, but waiting a long time for or never getting Edward’s POV in book form…really sends my gut into knots and tightening of the lungs.

This probably would be a great time for me to reread New Moon so I can fully appreciate Bella’s depression, her thinking that Edward was never coming back. I feel the same way about getting a Midnight Sun book.

“Time passes. Even when it seems impossible. Even when each tick of the second hand aches like the pulse of blood behind a bruise. It passes unevenly, in strange lurches and dragging lulls, but pass it does. Even for me.”

It’s almost laughable how apt that quote is right now. I’d laugh if I could right now. This whole thing has me feeling very emotional. My husband is already sick of my moping.

Stephenie…please, please start working again on Midnight Sun…We love you!

you know, I’ve been wondering what would have happened if MS still got leaked - but the fan reaction to breaking dawn was less extreme. Though a big part of the fandom is still here, another part went completely off, ripped things to shreds. Although SM clearly knew this, it probably influenced her feelings just a little bit.

If things calm down, I think everyone’s head will be a little clearer.

Butt I have read those 12 sacred chapters - hate me if you will - and that playlist is awesome, in my opinion. I ‘m not mean enough to say anything, but in my own music taste… best playlist ever.

I’d love to see “As You Sleep” by Something Corporate on that playlist…hands down, best ever Edward-watching-Bella-sleep song. Kind of surprised me that she didn’t have it on her Twilight playlist for that matter…she seems to be such a big Jack’s fan, and Something Corporate was Andrew McMahon’s former band (they sound pretty much exactly the same, just that Jack’s is a “more mature version” of SoCo)…but she’s never mentioned liking SoCo. *shrug*

While I read the partial draft on Friday, I was listening to that song over and over and over again. Gotta love reading something so perfect and listening to the perfect song, while having a good cry.

S_M_G: heh…thanks. I can definitely understand how pained SM is feeling about this whole issue, especially after the ruckus with BD (which I love), but I really, really hope she fully grasps how this putting off of MS has really pained her fandom.

I think the leak of Midnight Sun was just what put her over the top. I agree with Fake_plastic201 thoughts on that. I think that if the whole Breaking Dawn drama wouldn’t have happened, if people would’ve dealt with that entire BD thing with class and respect, maybe just maybe she wouldn’t be so hurt.
People have trashed her terribly! people have been so rude and nasty to her and even to her brother!!! I don’t blame SM for wanting to get away. She has feelings, like the rest of us.

Personally, I don’t want her to write anything right now. She shouldn’t write until she has had time away from it all and feel better about the situation. We want books from the SM we all love. We don’t want a book coming from an angry or hurt SM. She’s human, just like the rest of us. Lets give her time to breath, to get over the abuse she’s had to deal with, to get over the betrayal. I am very sure that she will forgive and forget. She will write MS! She will!! She’s not the type of person that holds a grudge…Lets give her time. Let’s encourage her and you’ll see how things turn around. She’s a good person, she’s just very hurt right now.

aah i feel so much better… the FAQs really relieved some of the complexes i had with this book. of course, i loved it, but i just accepted stuff without even thinking twice about the reality (or… fictional reality…) of the situations. THANK YOU STEPH so much for filling us in on your POV!! it helps tremendously!! as for the playlist, i listened to a couple of the songs but it made me want to read the MS manuscript so badly that i quit listening altogether. i want to read her published and finalized version, and although it’s killing me to keep myself from reading THE BEST STORY EVER (hello… it’s EDWARD FREAKING CULLEN’S VERSION!!) on her website, i just can’t read it if i know that there’s a chance that she may publish it and it could be different than the manuscript is right now. i want to read the finalized version with no pauses like it would be if i just read the first 12 chapters and then had to wait several years for the ending, and unless she just comes right out and says that there is no way she will ever publish this book (cringe… ultra super cringe), then i will read it. until then, i’ll just wait… painfully.

reading #20 (sarah-lynn)’s post just scared me. what if she pulls MS off of her site and i didn’t ever read it? i would never see this amazing manuscript that so many of you love. that gives me hope that she will continue writing… i just don’t think that she would do that to her fans… give the story to them as if dangling a chocolate bar in front of a person on a diet, and then mercilessly rip it away (sorry for the stupid analogy… it was the best i could think of). i don’t think she would do that. that gives me hope… although it was SO wrong for someone to do this to her, to leak her “baby,” maybe it’s a good thing that she posted it on her website… maybe it’s suggesting that she isn’t going to rip it away… that she’s going to finish. she has to. sorry, i’m just rambling.

but if she takes it off of her website before (or if i ever) read it… i think i will die of fangirl spasms.

I really like the FAQ for Breaking Dawn. I felt just a twinge of disappointment that there was nothing on Caius. He’s got to have an interesting story. Though I’m so glad she cleared up my questions about Marcus. I really hope she puts up some extra’s for both Eclipse and Breaking Dawn. Her extra’s and outtakes really go above and beyond what most authors are willing to do for their fans.

I read the partial draft Stephenie put up on her website. I agree with a lot of people. Midnight Sun is my favorite of the saga. I really hope that the Edward in Stephenie’s head starts yelling at her so she’ll want to finish the book to shut him up. I really want to hear from Edwards POV the scene that started the entire series.

Kantri - yes…I’m holding out for some seriously deep-from-his-chest Edward snarling going on in her head. Smile. I can just imagine him in a crouch, snarling balefully away…hope he’s doing it right now…Stephenie, listen to those wonderful snarls! Alright, that made me laugh a very little.

As for Breaking Dawn, I hope I’m not a terrible person, but I read it and LOVED it. It is my favorite and now I am going crazy because I don’t know if it will ever be complete. I really do hope Stephenie will feel better and knows we are all supporting her.

The FAQ that asks about Leah and it sais that the reason why she is upset about Nessie is that she is now tied to vampires(since she is in Jacobs pack) BUT if you think about it!!!…It hinted in B.D that Sue was starting to hang ouyt with Charlie a lot more and Bellas realizes that it means more than friendship…sooooo what happens if Charlie ended up marrying Sue? HAHAHAHA…Bella and Leah would totally end up being sisters!!! haha! Did anyone think that through?

I was looking forward to M.S MORE than any other of the books.
and… I just have to say this also…I do feel bad for Stephenie and i have to say that i am a bit surprised that she didnt prepare for the chance of it being leaked…or maybe she of course though it was a possibility but wasnt expeecting it to affect her so hard..BUT…OF course there are saddly but true,SO MANY people out there that unfortuananty are dishonest and so i have to say that i am not surprised, even though OF COURSRE it is WRONG and now ALL of US have to suffer the consequences ESPECIALLY Stephenie. BUT i honestly believe that Stephenie wont be able to NOT finish M.S cause I think that eventually she will realize that she wont be able to nnot finish Edward story.Like maybe she just wont feel complete in a way. she has said before that she would love to have the book right next to her Twilight one and I think that eventually she will want it more and more.SHe is just to good and strong willed. Even she completes it just for herself. Hopefully whe will one day share the story with us if she finishes it. I support her too and I understand she wants to take her time to take in what has happend. SHe will overcome like always.

I don’t know about anyone else, but I need a freaking laugh already. I’ve decided to post some wonderful quotes from The Office, courtesy of Dwight Schrute, from the vampire episode Joss Whedon directed:

Dwight: If a vampire bat was in the U.S., it would make sense for it to come to a “-sylvania.” Like Pennsylvania. Now that doesn’t mean that Jim’s gonna become a vampire, only that he carries that vampiric germ.

Dwight: I don’t have much experience with vampires. I have hunted werewolves. I shot one once, but by the time I got to it, it had turned back into my neighbor’s dog.

Dwight: Extraordinary events call for extraordinary actions. Will you form an allegiance–
      Creed: Sure.
      Dwight: To use sudden violence–
      Creed: Okay.
Dwight: Do you have the tools to turn a wooden mop handle into a stake?
Creed: (opens desk drawer) What size?

HA! hahaha. For obvious reasons, this is my favorite episode.

uhmm…i really didnt understand with all the haters, why must everything be made into a big deal?

Its a fiction, fictional character and as the writer she has the absolute right on how she want to potrayed her character development and how the story line a like.

All the 4 books is GREAT and i have satified. I just love the idea of Bella being the ‘queen’ in the end. Edward and Bella both got more that they ever wish for..especially with Renesmee!

I really do hope that Stephenie will take her time to calm down and have a peaceful mind once again so that she can commit once again into finishing ‘Midnight Sun’ and get it publish along side ‘Twilight Saga’. It will be incomplete NOT have ‘Midnight Sun’

Oh! Please Stephenie..do not let down your die-hard fans and especially Edward’s chance!!

Exactly, La Tua Cantante! I think that after time, she will write MS, SM can’t allow those people to win. If she doesn’t finish the book then the people who did this to her win. Stephenie is much stronger than that… She is also too good and loves her characters too much to just leave it like that.

I’m heartbroken. After all she’s been put through with the whole “contraversy” for BD, to have MS leaked like this must just feel like the final betrayal. I’m totally amazed SM even found it in herself to update her website with the FAQ and playlist. She must really love her fans!

I love BD - it’s now my favorite, and the FAQ was just icing on the cake for me - and I was SO EXCITED for MS to come out. Each time I read the series now, I find myself wondering what things must look like from Edward’s perspective. I really hope we do get to see the final published copy some day.

I critiqued the book with respect and did it in a tasteful way. Unfortunately, I was still attacked for it. When I review a book, of course I keep the author in mind. I’m not going to degrade his/her work because I found one little thing I didn’t like. Especially with Stephenie’s, whose BD had many good points. I just feel horrible that there are those who actually bashed the book. And then to find out that someone leaked MS? My goodness, I’d be over the edge also.

I will continue to pray for Stephenie and her family and honestly hope that she heals from this soon. I just hope people will not lash out if she does not write Midnight Sun. Just step in her shoes and see if you could write it now.

      Ah, I am sad.

But on a good note, the BD FAQ was very insightful. I’m tempted to saunter off and write some fanfiction now. Maybe some Marcus revenge. :)

I couldn’t wait for the translation, so I’ve bought Breaking Dawn in English.
I was so disappointed when I’ve learned that she won’t write her next book: Midnight Sun.
      I can’t read the 12 chapter, because I can’t believe, I don’t want believe that it’s over.
She can’t stop writting because of bad people who are so stupid. Her word isn’t spoiled. A lot of people love her et support her. She has to thing to those fans and not evil people.

(forgive me for my mistakes but I’m French et not very good in English)

The FAQs were brilliant - of course - but the posting of the Midnight Sun playlist was to me, like…like an ultimatum. IF she ever does finish it, I can almost guarantee that it will be after SEVERAL years - if not MORE.

So…I am going to focus on other things now. School and such..more broad reading. I cannot bear to dwell any longer..I have too many other equally depressing things on my mind.

As for MS, I think as things calm down, she will get back to writing it. She wants to see it complete just as we all do. As for the 12 chapters, they are my favorite 12 chapters of any of the Twilight series books. It is absolutely brilliant. Hearing Edward’s thoughts makes me want to cry - in fact, it did.

UPDATE: Twilighters, never fear. We want to clear up one crucial fact: Rob Pattinson’s music will in fact appear in Twilight. According to director Catherine Hardwicke, two of Pattinson’s songs that he wrote before Twilight started filming are going to be featured in the movie. In fact, they recorded them this month. And while Hardwicke wanted Pattinson to write Bella’s Lullaby for the film, Hardwicke says Pattinson’s music is very personal. “I don’t think he does it on request,” she writes in an e-mail. “His two songs are pretty great.”

But as we all know things always have to come to an end and they can’t last forever.

Midnight Sun was something I was greatly looking forward to, and it just seems that Edward needs to get his point of view out there, and I personally would love if she continued the rest of the series with Edward’s point of view, I think that punishing the other millions of fans for something that one idiotic person did is not giving us justice. I respect Stephenie’s wishes but I do think she should continue with Midnight Sun for the people that deserve it.

And I think she lied when she said that in Burning Dawn Jacob was supposed to imprint on the DEMONSPAWN baby (I can’t even TYPE the name). Jacob was just a plot device before the editors made her develop his character.

    91. Devon061381 Says:
      September 2nd, 2008 at 11:21 pm

The reason she didn’t release the “other” book is because of how the Volturi were dealt with. The Merchant of Venice has a courtroom showdown, with the two female main characters posing as lawyers. A courtroom showdown implies a head game - your wits are called into action and, as she said, there is mental maneuvering involved. This is how the final scene with the Volturi was acted out. If she would have released the “other” book, anyone who has read TMC or would look it up would know that it wasn’t going to pan out into physical violence.

It’s called the element of surprise.

MeganBear, you have just proved Maria’s point 100%!!! See, on Sept 1 Maria said this:

“I don’t think that’s going to help ease the bitter hate the “OTHER SIDE” feel for her… there is no way to reason with those people, too full of hate for BD and for SM!!! In there eyes she can’t do anything right”

At first I thought Maria was being a bit harsh, but here you are being the hateful person Maria predicted. WOW!!! I didn’t realize the hate and ignorance went that far. There is no spousal abuse in this book and I know abuse, he was a vampire and just with his gentle touch he could’ve given her a bruise(that’s why he didn’t want to make love to her until she was a vampire herself, remember??) and please don’t get me started on spousal abuse, I know all about it first hand, I lived it for 5 years. If I can clearly see its a silly book, about vampires (which are not real) that have extreme force and whose simple caress or touch can bruise or break a bone (he warned her how many times) If I who have survived a broken nose from my ex husband fist to my nose can clearly see the book is just trying to show how strong the vampire is and that even though he tried to be so very careful he still was strong enough to give her a few bruises, then why on earth are people like you having such a fit??? go use for your own agenda!!!!! it makes us “True” victims of abuse very angry that you are using this so called” abuse” as part of your anti Stephenie Meyer agenda. Its also so funny that people are now having a fit over Jacob imprinting on Renessmee, where were you guys when the same thing got mentioned in Eclipse with Claire the 2 year old????? Why didn’t you guys have a temper tantrum there??? she explained it there, that it wasn’t like a sexual love, that it he would be what the baby girl needed him to be. A babysitter, a best friend, etc. He just wants her safe and healthy and nothing else. Not until she is an adult. Same here with Renessmee (not sure on spelling) why the big deal now??? it was ok with Claire the 2 year old just because it was over at the Res and out of site??? but not ok this time because its Jacob and Bella’s daughter??? what a bunch of hypocrites!!!!! You guys should’ve been having a temper tantrum over this since Eclipse, what happened??? did you skip that chapter where Jacob tells Bella about it????

Do you see how silly the people against BC are???? they make no sense and keep contradicting each other… But like Maria said… no matter what SM says nothing will make them happy… unless… maybe, just maybe… we have a Doctor change the dosage on their meds…

I can see being put out, even a little angry for a while, but you dont’ scrap a whole book (and EDWARD book for goodness sakes!) because of a leak. The BD answers and the MS chapters really make me hungry for more Edward. I think MS is the best of the books so far, so it’s frustrating that this may be all we get. How can a voice that developed just be silenced? I don’t think she’ll be able to not do it. I think Edward will keep talking to her till she starts writing again. I just can’t believe that after all the work she’s put into it that she would just throw it away, scrap it, and cancel it forever after one leak! No. She was either so mad that she wrote that out of anger and was not thinking clearly or there was another reason behind it. No one, and I mean NO ONE, would just stop writing something like that because of some leak that most of the Twilight fans probably never even read. So I am going to wait until she gets over her anger and starts thinking over what she’s done, or, if she really meant it, then I just hope that Edward’s voice keeps bugging her until she changes her mind.

I am so bummed that MS is on hold indefenitly. I just recently was intraduced to the Twilight Series and have becomed obsessed with it. I didn’t thing any other series would be better than Harry Potter, but I was wrong. Twilight is the best series novel I have ever read. The entire office that I work for has either finished reading them or in the process of finishing them. Everyone loves it. Not finishing Midnight Sun would be catastrophic to all SM fans. To get our hopes up for a chance into Edwards mine. Creating 12 chapters and placing them before us to read and then to say that SM may not finish it? I realize for SM that this is a big dissappointment to have happened to a writer. Must be a nightmare. But then to SM fans not being able to see a finished MS is a nightmare. I hope that after the anger passes of what has happened, that SM will do what is right. If not for herself, well then for all the SM fans that have come to love what she does…..writing good memorable stories that stick with us well after a book or in this case series has ended. It ruins most from even be able to continue on into reading other books. The thoughts of Edward and Bella stick with you….craving and wanting more. Continue to support SM and write in encouragement for a finished and published MS.

Just want to Thank Stephenie for all the hard work and love she pours into her books. She is a wonderful, kind person. I am sad that someone broke her trust and leaked Midnight Sun. I hope she will be able to get past this and write the book, I love the play list for Midnight Sun. Can’t wait to see the Movie. Can’t wait to read more of Stephenie’s work. She ROCKS!!!!!!!!!!!

I am disappointed that SM has put MS on hold - maybe not ever publishing it. I can understand that she may need some time, especially time off from vampire stories but why should you let a few malicious people ruin it for all the fans? Hopefully she will not let them dictate her life. They want her to shelve the book because they are envious of her success. She will finish the story for herself at least, maybe we can convince her to publish it for the fans! I am really hopeful she will reconsider. I would love to read the story from Edward’s point of view! Even though it has been leaked, her fans will definetly buy the book to read the finished product! Come on Stephenie…we are anxiously waiting!!!

I think all we die-hard fans can do is be patient and allow some space and peace for Stephenie. She love dearly her characters especially Edward and Bella as well as her true fans and I am sure she will not dissapoint us by ‘holding forever’ Midnight Sun.

She will get back to her self and finish Midnight Sun! She has always said in her comment that she turlly hope that Midnight Sun will surely be line together with The Twilight Saga on all the bookshelf worldwide..we just have to be a bit more patient!!

I begged you Stephenie, we need to read the finish copy of Midnight Sun because to respect your privacy I have NOT read the any of draft of Midnight Sun! I am sure it too will be top listed all over the globe!

I found her answers to be slightly evasive in her many analogies and examples. I also didn’t like how she had stated that vampires produce only venom, and now it’s “Oh, wait - they produce sperm venom too.” She also talked about herself a lot, saying what SHE likes and how this book was made for HER and nobody else. If she was going to write a book just for herself, why did she publish it? And, if it was supposedly written the way she likes it, why did she create the anticlimactic ending to satisfy readers who want a happily ever after?

For people scared that she will take MS off the sight, it opens as a Adobe file, so you can save it to your comp and not read it. I wonder if we’re allowed to do that because that’s what I want to do. Not circulate it or anything.

Also, I think that people are being kind of mean about the leak, it is a big deal because it wasn’t a small leak. It’s HUGE. Almost half the book, not just a few blurry pages or chapters. I’d be upset too.

Third, did anyone notice that she was still at about the same spot in the book when she first posted about MS. Hopefully, her need to put it on her bookshelf as a Twilight “companion” will prevail.

Fourth, though I do believe she needs to take some time off I would be very dissapointed if MS was never published. It feels as if it’s a punishment for all fans- especially to the major BD and SM bashers, even if they deserve it- even if it’s not meant/supposed to be. It still feels that way on the inside.

And last I’m sad because I have nothin got lokk forward to the movie doesn’t interest me. I want books. I have to settle for just rereading The Host multiple times because the Twilight books are just causing me pain right now.

      Maybe school will distract me.

Good luck Steph, no matter what, in my opinion, you write excellent stories!
