OMG i know this is off topic but man i’ve seen so many commercials using the twilight trailer songs and it gets me every time i’m like “edward’s on t.v. again…. wait he’s.. he’s not :(” LOL

Does anyone one else think its a good thing for them to replace jacob?I mean isnt he supposed to be a little bit of a edward alternative not to mention alot bigger?

I dont think its a good idea(mom2.4boys) so many people have grown to love taylor. if they replace him it will be a very sad day for all of the taylor lovers.

Wait has he been “offically” been replaced? I swear if Taylor has i AM NOT seeing New Moon… And Taylor has been bulking up, He really wants the part, and all of the interviews i have seen with Michael, he is sooo full of himself i never really liked him on One Tree Hill… Taylor deserves to be Jacob, but my alternative for Jacob would be Steven Strait, no one else. I really hope Taylor gets to play Jacob though!!!

Wow. I totally agree with the Chris Weitz article. His Dark Materials was a great trilogy, but the movie The Golden Compass was a letdown. They didn’t even end it properly >.< So I really really hope that doesn’t happen with New Moon.

Unfortunately I think they have to recast Jacob. Taylor just isn’t big enough to pull off Jacobs “huge” transformation. To bad that Taylor doesn’t have a bigger older brother who could act in the second half of the film for him.
e needs about 2 feet and 10 pounds to play a convincing Jacob, too bad really because he would have to start at the beginning of the movie before jacob changes any way

Most people don’t even CARE Taylor is not big enough…So it’d be stupid to change him to make it more similar to the book, when we don’t care if that part is changed in it…
Oh and Caroline, he is gaining 10 more pounds…
So, if we don’t care about that fact, then it’d be pointless to recast…
(And I’m NOT paying any money to see New Moon if they do)

Also, about height…they do it ALL THE TIME!!! It’s not that hard…
I hear that sometimes they really DO stand on a box or wear high shoes…
Nikki Reed is shorter than Ashley Greene but they made due…

yeah Nikki had to wear very high heels to make her look taller than Ashley…Taylor already gained like…19 lb in muscle too, he really wants the role and i cant blame him.

They can make Taylor taller, like everyone is saying. I’m really proud of how much effor Taylor has been putting in to trying to get the part. And, even if he doesn’t get the part, hey, he should be proud of the muscle he’s got. =]

The Film.com article’s poll should have a “we’ll see” option -.- I don’t know what to think, and I want to be hopeful enough to think that he’ll do better than he did with the Golden Compass.

I feel like i should add this… In relation to the boyfriend/Edward situation. I know a guy who’s girlfriend actually made him go see Twilight and told him to be more like Edward. He has yet to get anymore shiny.

I’m very hopeful too. I’ve also gotten to the point that, even though I want Taylor as Jacob and no one else, if they replace him, it better be with someone much better. I just want this next movie to be great! I loved Twilight, but I was heart broken at the fact that it had so many flaws as a movie. I want a GREAT New Moon dammit!

people complaining about taylor’s height, i have one word for you: HOBBITS. it’s really not that hard to make actors appear to be a completely different height than they are.
if they replace taylor with a legitimate actor, i will very seriously consider not seeing new moon.
if they replace taylor with copon or anyone else who is as terrible at acting and as disgustingly conceited as he is, i will flat out NOT see the movie.

In regards to your Christmas post- All I want for Christmas is a Twilight Calendar (i even wrote a song about it…) My husband says (yes, I have a husband and want a twi-cal, so what?) that when he asks for them at calendar stores, the clerks literally LAUGH at him.
Bummer.. there were tons last month.. he should’ve bought one then. Oh well, it’s his fault if I divorce him when I don’t get my only wish on Christmas morn.

Well this whole replacing Taylor doesn’t seem smart at all. Jacob starts off small in the book or alittle bigger than the first or whatever. Then over night its a transformation! Then he’s bigger and with movies and green screens these days and all those props, im sure they can find a way to make him taller. Like stilts? Haha and getting bigger is something he’s obviously trying and can achieve! If they use someone else in his place, im sure they will loose fans and respect. Changing a main character like that isn’t the way to go!

Yeah, i am sooooo not looking forward to them replacing Taylor if they do. We have already established him as Jacob black, am i right? also, i agree with Kizmit, if they can make HOBBITS and HAGRID for that matter, then why can’t they make Taylor a few inches taller?! Talyor Lautner: the REAL Jacob Black!!!!!!!!!!!!

i adore taylor as the young jacob but to be true to the book they need to replace him with either michael or steven. he is too young looking and short(5′6)to play the part of mature looking, taller (6′5 - 7′0) cocky, arrogant and most of all annoying jacob black. what about CGI? if they decide to keep taylor,remember they are not only changing his height but his facial features too and by doing so we are not actually getting taylor but a fake one!!! solution for taylor racast him as the adorable, smart, and kindhearted

ok Edward is the only reason i saw this movie i saw the previews and was like WOW and jacob is alright people are saying that they are going to replace edward And I don’t think that they should do that IF they change the caracters in new moon the movie just wont be the same but some people do have a point they might have to change jacob he is supposed to be alot bigger but hey thats just my point of view but if they change edward cullen im totally not going to see new moon!!!!

I’ve heard a couple different stories that rob is not going to be playing edward anymore because he’s sick, and he cut his hair none edward(ish).
