Sorry- I have to vent about the magazine Life&Style. They keep publishing the most outlandish stories about the Twilight cast! It’s so infuriating to read the headlines they’ve had in the past. How can they get away with posting lies?! Errrrrrr.
We agree. That’s why we don’t publish their trash even though they send it to us. We actually thought of doing a poll on what is the stupiest rumor put out by the gossip rags.

I would like to say that the meadow in the movie twilight is definatly not what I expected. I have been a twilight saga fan for the past two years and I think that people are turning it into a fad movie. If you think I’m some 30 year old mom your wrong. I’m actually a 14 year old honor student. So I wrote this to prove many people wrong that 14 year olds can relate to love.

I don’t think New Moon will do anything like Twilight did to Robert to Taylor. I think he already has a huge following!! Only, he isn’t quite as popluar becuase pretty much only teens like him, compared to Robert who everyone loves!!

@Twilitex57 — I think mostly younger girls like Taylor in that way because they’re the only ones allowed to. Rob is well over legal, and Taylor is still a minor, so to the older fans it’s not icky to lust over Rob, and quite creepy to think Taylor is cute. I’m sure once Taylor hits the magic 1-8 he’ll have a bit of a bigger following in the “he’s so dreamy!” category.

so, according to that article, vanessa hudgens tried out for leah? idk….her voice sounds young…im not sure about that…i do know that the girl who played lana on smallville should be emily…she’s so beautiful that any mark on her face would stand out which would be a good thing to go for…someone so beautiful…beauty lost…yet she still loves him…awsome.

Type her name into google and go to either wikipedia or IMB. That’ll tell you if she’s in the movie. But I highly doubt because the last time I checked she wasn’t on the cast list. GO TEAM JACOB!!!

its just a rumor about Vannessa. I was reading the article that told me this, and it confused me. This website was quoting the script writer of new moon. At first it was simple just saying Vanessas not Leah and trying to squash the rumor. then (i dont remember the exact quote) she said something like Leah wasnt even in the script?

vanessa is still trying out for leah clearwater though, if she is in new moon or eclipse, she is trying out. i think she will be good for this part though, it would be something diffrent, but i would like to see how it works out for her.
i agree with isabel!!!!!, im 13 too and i understand love quite easily, but im also told that im mature for my age.

Vanessa shouldnt get the part for leah. NEW MOON NEW FACES. when twilight came out there was alot of undiscovered acrors/actresses in that and so the twilight saga is known for bringing new faces into the entertainment industry. so i think they should just hold open casts and see what they can find. You never know. maybe they will find the perfect jane or the perfect leah. but im not trying to be mean but vanessa doesnt really seem like the werewolf type. i think she is just trying to get the spotlight on her. now that HSM is over and there is a new obsession coming to theaters. does anyone agree with me on this one?

i was kinda disappointed with twilight though ; they could’ve done a tinsy winsy better job .

Ok. So here are some of my hopes for the cast in new moon. I think Dakota will be great as Jane. If you saw Hide And Seek…she was so good and evil in that. I also think Emily Blunt would be really good as Emily. Not for the name. She was in Devil Wears Prada and Jane Austen Book Club. But when I really pictured how perfect for the role she would be, was when I was watching another film of hers called My Summer of Love. I can totallly imagine her with the dark hair and the scars. Please people tell me you agree? She would be so freaking good.

I think that Camillia Belle should play Leah… Thats just my preference. I like Vanessa Hudgens as Leah too though. Dakota Fanning might play Jane! That would be kinda weird… She’s too young i think. But she DOES look like how i thought Jane would. I think its kinda weird that all of a sudden all these famous people want to be in the movie just because it was so high in the box office. I don’t mind. either way it’s going to be a good movie:))

i really hope vanessa hudgens and lucas gabriel dont play alec and leah..they would just ruin the movie. sorry but its true. new moon does not need disney stars. i agree with some of the other girls new moon needs new faces not ones every one know and completely love. might as well get the rest of hsm crew play in new moon too. but seriously get better actors to play the volturi and werewolves. and i dont think that dakota will be bad as jane. i think shell do a good job. i think that maybe lucy hale or camillia belle should play leah. but if vanessa and lucas are going to be in the movie in my opinion the movie will be RUINED!

I like Dakota Fanning as Jane, she’ll be good, but Vanessa Hudgens would ruin it. I’d want someone like Geniveve Cortese from Wildfire and Supernatural. She’s a really good actress and she look the part. For Emily I’d want Alexis Bledel she’s perfect because she is so nice and gentle. I think AnnaLynne McCord as Heidi would be perfect, but she’s such a good actress that she deserves a bigger role.

To all of you 13/14 year olds, I don’t think you “truly” understand the meaning of TRUE LOVE. You may “love” your boyfriend or your family, but the love in the story is deeper, more of a need, not a want.
Also about Vannessa Hudgens and Lucas Grabiel, some say that they are good actors and would be able to play the roles. I agree that technically they might have the “ability” to play these roles, but the only thing I would be thinking when I’m watching New Moon is, “When are they going to break into song and dance?”
Finally, Dakota Fanning. In the book it describes Jane as “childish” not a child. Alice was also described this way, did they cast an eleven year old for her part? No. I’m very disappointed in the choice of some of the actors/actresses signed for this movie.
One thing I’m not disappointed in is the fact that Taylor Lautner will still be playing Jacob. Jacob changed immensely over the course of the book, but not so much that he literally became a different person. Taylor has done a tremendous job in creating that difference so far by gaining over 20 pounds in muscle.
We can only hope for the best with this movie.

you know how like everybody is saying vanessa hudgens is gonna get the part for Lea. well i hope that that’s not the case or i will be so dissapointed. i just don’t think it would be right for disney stars to be in a movie like twilight. and anyway, isn’t Lea supposed to be a b*tch. and vanessa is so not mean she is anything but mean. she was in high school musical for crying out loud so really people if you have sense you won’t pick HER of all people.

uhmm yeah i think dakota fanning would pretty good as jane..but if there are any disney charecters in twilight i WILL scream..i think that there really shouldnt even be well knowns actors in the movies..like i think they should find really good actors that no one knows about..so no one will know who they are..and they will fit the characters better..like if it was a well known actor or actress in the movie you would keep thinking of them in another roll they played in another movie and not a character in new moon or any other twilight books. i rest my case

Some of these comments arent based from a childs perspective, so they need to be
1. Jasper has a key role, maybe not in this film but in Eclipse he is NEEDED
2. Jane would well be played by actress Dakota Fanning. Though she is still a child herself, Jane is supposed to look very unthreatening to the eye, but with a deadly smile which i beleive she can pull off.
3. To understand the passion and love in this story is easily possible by a 14 year old if she knows what it all means. Age has nothing to do with it it just means u have to deeply think about the book in a not-average love story way.
4. As is said Vanessa Hudgens would be a VERY bad role. Shes the pretty girl that sings and dances though everone wants her to shut up already, not the deadly and vicious vampire Jane.
5. The are rumours surrounding Brenda song to be cast as or have tried for Leah. INCORRECT! It is just a rumour, the manuscript has not got given Leah a role (wierd as she will be key in the 3rd and 4th film)
6. The “Meadow” in twilight was quite offputting.. It was not a meadow it was a slight glint of sunlight coming down from the treetops. This is weird as t poses a great disunderstanding to New Moon. Bella’s run in with Laurent will be quite confusing if it is in such a small area full of uneven trees, as will Jacob’s and her search for it.
7. The cast for New Moon can be found at imdb.com then search New Moon. It should be obvious which movie is the one.
8. Taylor Lautner is the worst thing this movie could conjure up. The story is supposed to be her undying love for edward which blossums into a double with Jacob. All the movie only fans will figure out is that Taylor has big muscles and is “hot” so obviously she should pick him… This is NOT the story at all!
9. I dont think Sam’s character from Twilight also will do very well. He is supposed to look EXTREMELY loving and sorrow stricken towards Emily and caring all the time. With his face he looks more grim and scary ALL the time and im wondering wheather he can pull it off or not.
10. Edward dissapears for most of the story but i beleive if the director stays true to the story then he will probably pop up every now in then, maybe a scene showing her nightmare? His voice and his figure in the water?

and i think it is very unfair that there having an open casting thing in America, i’d love to be in the film, why cant they come to the UK and select a couple people, and dont say it’s cuz it’s an American film, because Robert Pattison (Edward Cullen) is very much english !

I have read the whole saga of Stephanie M. books and I can honestly say that it was worth reading. The movie was good but relatively not comparible to whats in the book. I know that it is very hard to cramp in a 600..page book to a 2 hr movie… but I just wish..they kept Bella’s character as it is in the book. In the book, I pictured Bella’s character as more feminine, and more affectionate towards Edward. In the movie, it seemed to be very awkward…i felt like she was too uptight and “boy-ish”. In the book they have mentioned how “they love each other numerous times and never held back in the kissing part …” But in the movie..i never heard them once saying I love you. I just hope in the second movie they wont miss showing the intense relationship they have for each other..strong emotions or happy moments(in the book) that needed to be shown.

HAHA!!! I laugh at all of you people who are saying “No” to all the Disney stars! TAYLOR LAUTNER STARRED IN DISNEY’S LAVA GIRL AND SHARK BOY MOVIE!!!! AND HE WAS IN CHEAPER BY THE DOZEN 2!!!! Honestly, I think it would be a good acting experience for Vanessa. I think they should be bringing Solomon Trimble back to play Sam, because, let’s face it: he’s Native American, a talented actor, and WAS ORIGINALLY CASTED & IN THE FIRST MOVIE!! I think they should definaitly be finding REAL NATIVE AMERICANS for the Natives’ roles! Having some olive toned European girl play Emily ISN’T going to cut it!

i think for the book and movies sake they have to make bella and jacob have that connections. people have to get it who havent read the books. I think for these movies to succeed they need to make the next 3 movies realistic and really good. i think the first movie was really good, it followed the book as much as it could.

i’m especially happy with the twilight cast, ‘m excited to hear that Taylor Lautner is still playing Jacob! Although in my mind Rosalie looked a lot more like Blake Lively. Leah Clearwater should be played by Kristen Keurk! Only bad thing is she’s about to be famous when Street Fighter comes out :/ As for Jane, Dakota will do fine, i just wish she wasn’t so famous.

Summit needs to step it up or Twilight should be picked up by New Line Cinema or WARNER BROS!!!
Tell me why Twilight stunts looked SOOOOO fake compared to Harry Potter and LOTR. i’ll tell you, because Twilight got a lousy budget compared the other movies. Another thing is that Twilight seemed kind of lousy compared to Underworld which had an even lower budget!!! something isn’t adding up. I mean i LOVE Twilight and saw the movie multiple times in theater, but it wasn’t great to people who didn’t love it before [i did love it before].

While I agree that Vanessa Hudgens should not play Leah, I think that she, and other HSM actors should not be rejected for parts by audiences simply because they were in a Disney film. They have been stereotyped and probably want to do something comepletely different!
To Jenn, I thought the movie was great. I have read the first book and bits of the other ones, and I know the rough plot. Others in my family went to see it who had not even read the books and loved it. While the people you know may not have liked it, the people I know were very pleased with it, even having not read the book.
To all those who go on “It’s just a book!” that is true. It is a book. But it is not “just” a book. While it is by no means the best book I have ever read, speaking of the book world in genral, books are a way to leave this world and live somewhere else, be somewhere else, as are movies. If you believe that a book is “just” a book, you are incapable of appreciating the fact that books are one of the most wonderful things in the world. Books are not “just” books. They are books, one of the best things mankind has ever invented.

People are flipping out about Disney stars, like someone same Taylor Lautner was in “Shark Boy and Lave Girl” for gods sake! Kellen is on the new “Beverly Hills 90210″. If we want bigger budgets and therefore better films some bigger named stars may do just that. Leah has maybe a 2 second mention in “New Moon” and “Eclipse”. She doesn’t really have a part - as a human - until “Breaking Dawn”! She doesn’t even have lines in Eclipse! She just sits around the fire and then shows up as a wolf. For such a small part I wouldn’t stress about it. The main parts are already cast - the rest basically add up to bit parts. Who they cast isn’t going to make or break the movies.

I think that Dakota Fanning is great for the role. shes had a lot of experience and is very mature for her age. she will do great. I think that they should make the Wolf pack and and the rest of the Quilette Tribe real Native Americans. They will at least look the part.

And Jasper, Jasper supposed to be at least kinda cute!! And Esme is supposed to not hav a good body shape, she’s supposed to be a little bigger.
