Stephenie Answers Fansite Questions

The lovely people over at Nokia/WOM have gathered questions from some of the fansites and had Stephenie answer them. They can be found in the community section of the site. Click on each site to see what questions were asked. Also check out their very cool Twilight phone and Twilight downloads for your phone. They used some of the questions that we had initially requested your input on, and then they came back and asked for some others.
Edited: If you are having trouble seeing the interviews (the flash takes forever to load), click on what looks like the shiny ball/star next to each site’s name.

WOW. Nokia really went all out for that! I was surprised at all the effort Amazon.com put into making their Twilight page as well. Even though I’m a part of the fan base, it’s amazing to me the monster (pardon the connotation of that) this series has turned out to be! Amazing… I mean, I know I loved it but jeez…

That was a great site and loved all the questions and answers. There were two that I would love more info on from Stephenie. The first, she said she was working on something new, Yeah! Would love to know more about that. And second, she said she thought about it in her mind and knew what would have happened if Bella never jumped or if Jacob had been with her preventing Alice from seeing… would love to know what that would have been. Maybe she will write us a little short story and post it on her site.

I agree with Stephenie’s answer to the question, what scene she would like to see or should have been added to the movie and that’s the Biology blood typing scene. I would really love to see that in the film. and how Edward carried Bella to the car. that would be sweet! =)

But yeah, I just wish people would stop asking her about “Dark High Noon”. She’s said no how many times???? I’m so done w/ hearing the same answer… it just makes me get depressed all over again.
But on a happier note I’m sooo excited to read her next book!!!! (personally i don’t care for a Host sequal)
And it’s also amazing that’s she’s been actualy working on it!! <33333333 ^-^ Maybe we won’t have to wait so long for more SM goodies!
I heard she was doing mermaids next!! That’s awesome.

Natnat, go to the “Communities” link and there you will see other Twilight groups like TwilightLexicon.com and just hit the button and you will see the Q&A =)

Really, natnat? i’m clicking it right now and I can get access to it. click the ball or the star-shining-icon-whatever in the leftside of any of those communities and you will got to see the q&a.

I´d also like to know what would have happened, if Bella did not jump! Stephenie said, she knows what would have happened in the next 10 years…. so it would have taken edward 10 years to finally come back?? hmm….

The site was awesome. I loved the questions, was disappointed that she is not writing Midnight Sun, I wish people would stop asking so I wont have to hear about it anymore, I was so looking forward to getting inside Edwards head.

The site won’t let me view the entire question, but in answer to #14, I think SM is implying that Bella would have moved on from Edward and been with Jacob. Otherwise, she would not have framed it in the context of “the next 10 years”. She’s implied as much before. Which means that she has obviously given the matter a LOT of thought. But for some reason she won’t just come right out and say it. Maybe she thinks the fans would not respond well to that pronouncement. But again, since she’s already implied as much, I can’t see what the big deal is.
Bella and Edward’s relationship is not as “special” as we all thought. Bella is obviously capable of moving on. It’s a sad truth. But it is the truth.

i don’t take steph’s answer to #14 as proof that b and j would’ve ended up together…stephenie has said that edward was literally on the verge of coming back to forks to check on bella…that may also be what happens if bella never jumped…victoria is still stalking, regardless…i think just to say “oh bella would get over edward and she and jacob would be together” doesn’t answer all of the relative questions to that circumstance…
i stand by b & e’s relationship being “special”

Just think, if Jacob had let Bella answered the phone in her own house and Edward would know she was alive and well, then maybe, just maybe he would get his chance with Bella…Nah. Like Bella told him (comparing it to “Imprinting”) She never had a choice. Edward & Bella FOREVER!

Interesting. I love to get inside SM’s head. I really want more Midnight Sun but people need to stop asking about it. I love her comment about Bella waking up and seeing Edward in her room and then thinking it’s a dream when he vanishes. Also, totally agree with her about the blood typing scene. As for an alternate path with the cliff diving scene, hasn’t she said that Edward and Bella were always the plan, way back from the beginning though. I wonder if she thought about their reunion taking longer or coming together differently. If it took any longer, I wouldn’t have made it through the book. My Twilight friends had to keep urging me on as it was…I was so bored while Edward was gone!

I think Edward would have come back sooner than 10 years..didn’t he say in new moon that he was already past trying to live through one week or even a day..that he was fighting to make it through one hour..

If you dont think Edward and Bella relationship was special, then maybe you should re-read all 4 books. Basically the entire saga is about their relationship and the trials and tribulations they face (colliding their worlds)because being passionately inlove and he was an immortal and she was mortal

I want to believe that their relationship was special. Believe me, I LOVE Edward and Bella!! But it’s kind of hard to keep believing when SM keeps changing the rules. If an entire 4 books was spent on a girl and guy who couldn’t live without one another, then why would SM want us fans to know that Bella would have had a sustainable plan B? Because that’s exactly what she’s implying by the 10 year alternate scenario she’s referencing. And this is her 2nd time (that I’m aware of) mentioning it. If Bella’s alternate future really did include Edward, she wouldn’t feel the need to bring it up at all.
Unfortunately, this new information kind of kills the magic of the series for me.

Darn, they forgot to use the code name, Dark High Noon, she said she didn’t want to hear it for like two years before returning to it. On the other hand, Edward and Bella’s relationship is special. Like she said, she never had a choice. Hse could be happy w/ Jacob, but not as happy as she would be with Edward. Beisdes, she said for like Ten years. So, that means that perhaps if it had not been Renesmee, it would have been someone else. Because Edward said he’d be always waiting in the wings. So, no matter what would have happened Edward and Bella were still meant for each other. =)

I really hate that SM has stopped writing Midnight Sun. I really loved getting in Edward’s head for a change. Like Jacob asking to get in his head in Eclipse. I think that is what makes Midnight sun so interesting. We are so use to him getting into other peep’s head that now we get that chance to get in his.
MS *SPOILER* i loved the part of MS when E can’t come to school cuz it sunny outside so he watches B from the forrest. Mike Newton comes to talk B and catches a strand of her hair then tuckes it behind her ear. E goes berzerks and squishes a tree to death. I loved that part. It made me laugh. The discovered feeling of jealousy. ahahaha

I so agree with Stephenie when she said what scene she’d liked to have seen-that was a really cute turning point in the book when Edward and Bella open up to each other. Dissolving-the-walls sort of thing…

I Really have two questions that I really need answers for..
1.When Was Bella Born? I kind of did the math and if twilight is taking place in 2005 she had to be born in 1989 but i’m just trying to make sure.
2. How in the world is leah clearwater a werewolf?
THe book never said anything about girls not being able to turn into werewolves but after all of those years leah can’t be the only girl that the anestors has had that has the bloodline.

….Holy Limburger, Batman! You can’t say stuff like that and not EXPOUND on it! What would have happened? And why did you specifically say ‘ten years’??? What happened 10 years later?
