Kristen is a really nice person.
She is only 18 and I think sometimes the hype is just too much for her. And I didn’t like her too. But after I talked to her for a short moment I thought she was really nice.
And she is a great Bella.

Being attacked for opinions is one thing, but when your opinions are really rather nasty comments, it’s another. I think it’s completely rude and childish to say you don’t watch the movie for Kristen. There would be no movie without her, no book without Bella. I think Kristen is an excellent actress, and she just so happens to seem more of an introverted person and doesn’t handle the spotlight well - not everyone can. Personally speaking, I detest speaking in front of people, I get horrible stagefright, so I can certainly understand how nerve-wracked she must feel in interviews. And she is apparently being hounded by Paparazzi now, so I’m sure that’s annoying as hell.
Poor girl, she’s already getting deluged with questions about New Moon and it hasn’t even started filming yet! She’ll be sick to death of the questions by the time it does start! And yes, her costars for Adventureland must be bored/annoyed

I cannot see anyone else playing Bella but Kristen she is great for the part…. I dont understand how people can talk bad about her, just because she is not all smiley and jumping up and down in front of cameras doesnt mean she is not happy about all work she has done. I have seen almost all her movies and she is Awesome!!! Love her!! and yes a bit jealous cause she gets to work with Robert!!!!!!

Kristen is probably the best Bella, out there. She might not be great at interviews, but I still don’t see how that can make anyone seem like they are losers. The only losers out there are the ones who make fun of other pple.

The more I see this Kristin Stewart girl the less I like her. She was awful in Twilight. I LOVED the books and she spoiled the movie for me with her dumb stuttering. Now everytime I see her on tv she’s chewing gum. The pics of her smoking pot on TMZ is really good for Bella fans to see. For those of us who is tired of her, we should start a petition for Summit to find a new Bella, preferably one who can act!

My problem with Kristen: I have seen such better actresses, and Kristen never convinced me that she fell in love with Edward. Watch Kiera Knightley and Matthew Macfadyen in Pride and Prejudice and watch her facial expressions,what they say without speaking. Watch Sense and Sensibility with Emma Thomson and Kate Winslet, Watch Juno with Ellen Page and Michael Cerra. They all say so much with their eyebrows, lips, pauses.. You feel what they are feeling without even hearing them. Kristen has one set of facial expressions for all emotions, which is a cross between bored, frustrated, and stoned. If you want to criticize or support, back it up with intelligent information, not name calling. calm down, girls!

WOW! The haters got here pretty quick. Adriana, Elminasi, Patty and Devon I completing agree with you guys 110%. None of us know Kristen personally so it is rude to make mean comments about her she’s commented enough that she’s awful at interviews. Give her a break. I loved that Kristen is so real and does not let the popularity of Twilight go to her head. She doesn’t need to smile more, be more bubbly or look more excited just so people who don’t like her can feel good. Kristen brought Bella to life for me and for that I am thankful. Go Kristen/Bella!

I don’t know how Stephanie Meyer sat through the movie and didn’t cringe when she saw the hospital scene with Kristin stuttering. I’m starting to get really annoyed with people who keep hating on Kristen. Devon061381 is completely and 100% correct. Kristen seems to have the aura of an introverted person. I know I would probably act the same way as her. I mean, she’s an excellant actress. She’s a great Bella. I actually can’t seem to figure out why I wanted Emily(from Unfortunate Events) to play her, because now I realized Kristen was more of the Bella in my imagination than Emily was.
Keep up the great work, Kristen, and don’t let those haters get to you

I’m a fan of Kristen’s other films but I don’t think she did a great job in twilight. But I think a lot of that fact has a lot to do with Catharine Hardewick she utterly did a horrible job on a lot of things. The movie missed way to many things and in the movie Edward and bella didn’t seem to have that electrifying chemistry they had in the book. The people at summit better make New Moon a good god damn sequel to make up for the crap in twilight.

My opinion is that she isn’t the greatest actress in the world and she certainly didn’t do so great in the Twilight movie, but, I think that we are going to see her talents grow while watching this series. I am interested to see how she will grow as an actress. I haven’t watched many interviews with her but I think that she is just a normal girl who is doing something that she loves and wasn’t really prepared for the lime light.

For # 18 kelley and everyone else who thinks Kristen didnt show enough emotion.. UM i clrearly remeber during the series she hid her emototions mosst of the time from Edward.
FOR EXAMPLE…. During Breaking Dawn during her transformation all that was on her mind was not to move the slightest bit or say a word casue she new if she did she would lose control and she DID IT so Edward wouldnt know what she was really going through,she didnt want him to worry.
SHE hid her emotions from him all the time. so i think krsiten was perfect.
WHY do you think her POWER after her transformation was to shield everyone else?

Just because Krsiten isnt all hyper and annoying on camera and during interviews doesnt mean she is a bitch. I love how she is quiet and calm and independent. SO much nicer than alot of the annoying wannabees out there.
Kristen is who she is and looks proud of it without regrets wich she should be.

ah La Tua Cantante is nice to see the true Twilight fans are coming out kicking out the fakes, to me these so called haters are you daily Michael Capons, who have read fan fics of Twilight but never the story, we who are the true fans of the saga, know Miss Bella Swan’s personality, she is shy, she does not show emotions now who does that remained you off? Miss Kristen Stewart. Maybe the haters version of Bella tends to wear a blonde wig and leads a double life.
Kristen isn’t conceited, she said it herself that she is shy, and shy people do sometimes tend to look stuck up, but I don’t think she get along quite well with her co-stats if she was acting like diva.
And at least she gets up in the morning like the rest of us and not posing like Paris Hilton and probably Miley Cyrys do,

just because people have opinions does not make them more or less of a fan. you know what I think is sad, that everyone is here being nasty to each other over a girl no one here knows personally. whether kristen is how you pictured bella or not is gonna be different for different people because we all have different interpretations when reading the books. so how about we all start being nice to eachother and respect each others opinions and stop creating drama in a site the so many wonderful people work hard to create for us twilight fans.

I don’t like Kristen as Bella. I AM a true fan. I’ve read the book NUMEROUS times, especially Twilight. In fact, my copy of Twilight is so throughly tattered, I got a new copy. I don’t have the right to tirelessly harp at Kristen, I know that. I just don’t think that because she looks like Bella, it means she acts like Bella. She is monotone. She rarely has any expression. She’s more like a zombie - in New Moon when she’s SUPPOSED to look like a zombie, no one will tell the difference in her acting or emotions from the first movie. But that’s just my opinion. Bella is shy, always blushing, is clumsy and doesn’t connect with other humans that well. Kristen makes her look… like someone devoid of any personnality whatsoever. And when she stuttered at the hospital, I also cringed. Not because she wasn’t supposed to stutter and freak out and panic and desperately not want Edward to leave but because it sounded kind of forced. And not panicky. I’m not saying Kristen is a bad actress, just that she doesn’t really get Bella.
She doesn’t even seem to LIKE Twilight. Just like Rob.

It wasn’t just Kristen- I cringed (and laughed) all the way through Twilight because it was so awkward- so off the mark for what I felt Twilight should be. I disliked most of the acting, the makeup, the editing, choice of scenes emphasized, etc. I can see Kristen being shy. I too am shy, and my husband (my Edward) thought I was stuck up when he first met me. Bella may try to hide her feelings, but her mom calls her an open book. Edward just can’t read her as well because he’s not used to reading people without reading their minds. The viewer should be able to see a little emotion. Let’s encourage Kristen to improve her craft and make New Moon awesome. I too am Twilight obsessed, and I need something to look forward to.

Plus.. HELLO…ROB EVEN SAID HIMSELF that one of the reasons why he decided he wanted the role was because of KRISTEN and he thought she was great.
ALSO are we forgetting how Kristen is pretty much the one that said that she wouldnt have been able to do this movie with anyone other than ROB and she pretty much instantly new Rob was the perfect guy for the role and she told Catherine this. I am sure that had ALOT to do with the fact that he was hired to Play Edward also because they had good chemistry and felt it right away. If you ask me..KRISTEN is pretty much the one who picked Rob for the role and saw his potential before ANY of us did. THANK YOU KRISTEN!!! SO i honestly can’t see anyone else playing the role of Bella and MOSTLY dont think Rob could do it with anyone else. Dont believe me? I bet he wouldnt stutter to say so.

Let’s not say “Kristen Haters,” let’s say “Kristen Kritics.” It’s kinder and catchier, and it’s misspelled for fun! People are entitled to their opinions, and if you think she’s a good actress, go watch some Oscar- winning movies and see a variety of higher-caliber actresses.I think she is really visually perfect for Bella, she’s just not articulate. Neither am I but I’m not an actress. We aren’t attacking her as a person. If you want to discuss bad acting, let’s discuss that sneering, tree-sniffing vampire James! Wow, at least we won’t be seeing him again! As for Stephenie Meyer liking or not liking the movie, she did comment on the lack of Meadow Scene, that had to have hurt her a little, and she wouldn’t be able to openly criticize the movie anyway. I think Kristen is wonderful. She’s thoughtful, she is down to earth and I especially like that she doesn’t speak in a high-pitched voice!
I also think that there is a lot of envy floating around. After all, there’s no creature more vicious than a teen with a crush.

I think everyone needs to sit back and relax. We all have some strong opinions on the movie, but that does not mean we need to get harsh about it. We are all here because we fell in love with these stories, let’s remember that.

I am so sick of everyone judging Kristen. Its fine to have your opinion if she did good or bad in her acting in Twilight, BUT people are going beyond that and calling her shallow and ect. FOR CRYING OUT LOUD..SHE IS JUST BARLEY 18 and young. EVERYONE makes mistakes and she has a long road ahead of her. she isnt perfect and she is free to live and learn how she wants too, My goodness so many of you are quick to judge,poor Kristen will never live up to you expectations. I bet that when Stephenie commented on lack of the meadow scene,I am SURE it had nothibg to do with Kristen OR Robs acting skills.I think she meant more on the script in that specific scene. I personally wish the meadow scene would have been exactly the way it was word for word in the book,but what Twilight fan doesnt. I honestly think it could have been better i they just would have added Edwards line that said,”I couldn’t live withmyself if i ever hurt you,you dont know how it’s tortured me”
Also i actually have to agree with you on James’s charcter..I like Cam but he sucked as James..i couldnt stant the way he alwasy cocked his head to the side,hahah it was so lame and personally i think he made the movie look more like a teenybopper movie. I WISH Cillian Murphy wpould have played the role.
As for Krsiten..my husband said he thought she did better than Rob. but he thought rob was good too.

personally, the movie is for enjoyment, not something to spend our whole lives on.
i find that the written books are the main highlight for me, not the movie. So if the movie isnt what i epected it to be, you know, thats the way the cookie crumbles. we cant help it. but if the book was somehow not what i expected it, i would be a little more annoyed - because to me, books make more of an impression on me than films.
and about all the huffle-juffle about Kristen - when was the last time everyone had reporters chuking things in your face for an answer? to me, she is an honest TRUE person who resembles a normal teenager. And trust me, compared to MY 18 year old sibling, Kristen Stewart is way mature!:P

I think that Kristen did look the part and did an ok job at playing bella. She wasnt horrible like a lot of people are saying. but in my head I seen bella more like alexis bledel. Everyone is entitiled to their opinion and vision of bella and the whole cast for that. I think you guys need to just realize that the people that play these roles are never gonna be exactly like what we imagined. I know most of them weren’t for me. Personally I didnt think Rob was hott enough to be Edward, I would have had hayden christensen. but all the actors and actresses portrayed the characters how they interperted it. everyone knows the movies are never as good as the books. so i think we should all just be happy that they even made a movie. and stop dewling and fighting on stuff that cant be changed and doesnt even matter.
