Happy Valentine’s Day

A very Happy Valentine’s Day to all our readers! Hopefully you’re spending your day with the Edward, Jacob, Bella, Alice, etc. of your choice.
To start the day off right, we want to congratulate the winners of our Love Letters contest. There were over 215 entries and it was so hard to judge, but in our opinion the fans below really captured the charcters in their letters Click on their names and you can read them. The winners provided the letters, and Be My Escape did the art. So, give them a round of cyber applause!

Edward’s letter is so sexy, Esme’s is so sweet, and Jasper’s is very sweet as well (and he quoted Nietzsche, which I find incredibly awesome, because I’m a nerd like that).
And Emmett’s made me laugh, so I have to say, I loved that one the most!

WOW- I was blown away by the letters. They really captured the essences of the writers “souls”. It was great writing, and really IC. And you probably don’t want to know how many times I said, “Aw!”

I didn’t like the Edward and Bella love letter. It pretty much just took a lot of what was in the book and made it into a letter. It didn’t seem very creative to me… Sorry Carmen C.
But to be fair, I don’t think anything would have been good enough to me when it comes to Edward and Bella. I expect a lot when it comes to Twilight… But the Emmett and Rosalie one was really cute.

I loved all of them! They were so much fun to read, they were all perfect for the characters they were for. I loved the Edward and Bella one, it was so Edward it was unbelievable! Congratulations winners, you should all think about becoming writers!!

I love Edward’s that one’s the best it’s almost like Stephenie Meyer wrote it it’s crazy good. Emmet’s was really good too that was just like his character but Edward’s seemed like it could have come from the book. Anyway congrats everyone you all did a great job, Happy Valentine’s Day!

Wow… You guys did such a great job. Bella and Edward was spot on. Emmett’s was great - I teared up. Jasper quoting Nietzsche was great. And Esme’s was so true to her character.

Some of these people I am sure write fanfiction… Next time there is a contest that includes writing fanfiction-y type things, can we have them post their penname and major site as well?
Some of these authors are really good, and so it isn’t too much of a leap to guess that the other things they’ve written would also be good. I want to see those other things, darn it! XD

Emmett’s was my favorite. Edward’s was beautifully written, just like I imagine he would, but Emmett was so hilarious and sweet! Exactly how I picture him declare his love for Rosalie. Great work guys, absolutely fantastic!

I liked Emmett’s a lot, I think it was the most in-character, and Jasper’s and Esme’s were decently in character, too. I don’t know about Edward’s, it was kind of iffy; I read a few by people that I know that submitted letters in Edward/Bella, and several of them were better than that one. It was TOO sappy and emotional.
Eh, anyways. The language in all of them was wonderful, regardless.

Damn my stupid computer!!!! Only Edward’s and Esme’s opened…and I really want to read Emmett’s now cause it sounds like it ws good
oh well… anyway in the books, for some reason I’m fascinated by Carlisle and Esme. Their relationship isn’t really explained (well on the site and stuff, but you know what I mean). But even if you don’t go on the site and read the details about how they got together, it doesn’t feel like something is missing. It just makes sense, I guess… its like they don’t need a story…ugh idk how to describe it… anyway, I love Esme and Carlisle

you have never met me, but I’ve been watching you. My name is Alice, and although I have seen what you look like, I don’t know your name. My visions of our first meeting are getting clearer, so I will be seeing you here at the diner very shortly. Upon your arrival, we will leave to find a coven I have seen. They think of themselves as “vegetarians”, because they drink only the blood of animals. I first saw them shortly after I became what I am, what we are, and I decided to try their lifestyle. It has not been hard for me, having never tasted human blood before, but I see that it will be much harder for you after living the way you did for so long. But your past is not your fault. It wasn’t you who chose that life, and you never knew you had another option. Don’t worry about the future, I will help you adjust in any way that I can, as will our new family. I’m afraid that I’m gonna have to say goodbye for a little while. Don’t worry your pretty little head, I promise to come back, I can’t stand the thought of having to stay away from you for long. Even though it hurts me to leave you, it will be better in the long run. This morning, when I was pushing you on the swing in the backyard, you yelled “higher Uncle Jacob”all I could do was stammer out “I– I’m not your uncle”. I realized that the way you love me is very different from the way I love you. I guess I shouldn’t have expected you to be able to understand the way I feel about you, after all, you’re just a kid, even if you’re a hundred times more mature than any kid your age. So I’m hoping some time apart will do us good, and when I return, you’ll be more of an adult than a child, and I hope you’ll see me as more than a caring uncle, but for now, I am going to back off, and let you have the childhood that you deserve. Wow! Great letters everyone. My fav was Esme to Carlisle. It was from her heart! My least fav was Edward to Bella, but not because it wasn’t great, it just didn’t seem like Edward to me. He is too much of a gentleman to write so directly “what” he would “do” to Bella. But it definitely made ME blush!

I loved Emmett’s one to Rose, it was so Emmett!
The others were good too, but as I’m the opposite of an Edward/Bella fan I don’t like anything to do with them being together, including that letter.

An amazing choice of letters I must say. I think they are all great and fit to the characters and romantic of course.
About Edwards letter I love the fact that he compared himself and his love for bella with a musician enjoying a song, that’s just so perfect for him. And I could really imagine the situation, just so sweet.
The Esme letter was beautiful as well, especially the part where she confinces him again that his decision to change her was right. The way she explains is so…Esme.
Jaspers letter was very dark in the beginning, what really matches to him, but in the end it still turned out very romantic, which I think was really important. And I like the Nietzsche quotation.
And, last but not least, Emmets letter. Perfectly funny, just like he is, but still very clever and romantic in its own way. And the end was cool, with “Rose” and “Em” and “monkey man”, adorable.
Okay, I know I already wrote a lot, but I have to say that I really like the design of the letters to, especially Edwards and Emmets. That’s it
