Did anyone actually hear Ryan Seacrest?

OK, here’s the latest rumor, and we’re thinking this is a potential no brainer. It all starts with a post over on the Oh No The Didn’t community where someone read on the Madonna message boards that Ryan Seacrest said on his E! News program that Madonna might be in New Moon in the cast or on the soundtrack. Now if that last sentence doesn’t sound like the rumor mill on the 4th grade playground, we don’t know what does.
Now a bunch of media sites, who of course haven’t contacted the Ryan Seacrest show producers because they apparently haven’t heard of this thing called the telephone, or this other new fangled thing called email, have somehow morphed this into “Madonna cast in New Moon”. Pel’s response was, “As who? Mrs. Cope?”
WE ARE NOW PAUSING FOR THE SCREAMING FOR THOSE THRILLED OR NOT THRILLED.
OK, now that you are focused again. Here’s where you can help out. Did anyone who reads our blog actually hear Ryan Seacrest’s show and actually hear him mention this info? There is zip, nada, nothing to substantiate this over on E! (though various sources cite E!) and given the voracious way they have covered Twilight it seems odd that they wouldn’t put this front and center especially if one of their own correspondents got the scoop.
Usually when Ryan Secrest says something Twilight related we got a bunch of fans who email us about what they heard, and frankly we haven’t gotten a single tip from a fan who actually heard Ryan say this. So unless Ryan has suddenly lost a significant portion of his Twilight listeners, this is seeming kind of fishy to us.

As far as the whole Madonna thing goes, I don’t believe a word of it . . . I actually find it quite amusing!!
Talk about budget constraints. Isn’t Madonna up there with Naomi Campbell on the “I won’t get outta bed for less that a million?”
Even if Pel hadn’t have made that comment I think I would have had a laughing fit, talk about outta control!

By the way… I don’t want to start anyone panicking because I heard this from a friend of mine who tends to get their information wrong a lot, but she told me that Jackson Rathbone is not coming back as Jasper? Has anyone heard that? I scrolled through some blogs on here and figured if it was true or even a possibility that it would have been posted on here. So anyway, probably not true, but please let me know! That would be sooo sad! (Especially after we all fought to keep Taylor).

Oy. I really wish this wasn’t so commercialized, but everyone and their brother “wants” to be in this francise now. I am putting my faith in Stephanie Meyer and Chris Weitz to not screw this up.
Also - Annalynn McCord?!? As long as she doesn’t speak or flare her nostrils I think we’ll be ok. Oy!!

I honestly think she could have played a good victoria if they dyed her hair red. i also think she could play the part of the one who brings in the people to the volturi on the tours. even though she is to old for the part she still has that thing about her where people would be drawn to her. She could be one of the guards for the Volturi also. it did say when bella and edward walked in they noticed some woman among them.

I agree with Lilly.. i think she could be one of the woman guards that was mentioned in the book that Bella noticed was standing in the room with the Volturi when Bella and Edwardw were brought in. Has everyone forgotten about that?
anyways.. i think i would be ok with it acctually. AT LEAST it’s better than, Venessa,J bros AND Hillary.

The only thing I heard Ryan Seacrest say was on radios’s America’s Top 40 that Dakota Fanning wants a role just to be close to Robert Pattinson. Aside from that I have no clue about this Madonna stuff. It sounds like BS to me though…

Guy Oseary who is Executive Producer for Twilight and New Moon founded Maverick Films with Madonna.
So yes, she has been involved since the beginning (money wise)

Pel is my hero! I’m so praying this is just a rumor - so far, I’ve been really impressed with the decisions that Chris Weitz has been making (etc. recasting Taylor, writing the stitches scene between Carlisle and Bella, filming in Italy). Somehow, I trust that he’ll steer clear of Madonna (*crosses fingers*).

I didn’t hear RYAN SEACREST say this, but I did hear mention of Madonna being on the New Moon soundtrack this morning on 103.7 My FM in Los Angeles. Sorry, can’t remember the exact words, and I can’t find the gossip page at the radio’s website. I do know it made my ears perk right up, though.

Amazing who all is trying to jump on board. Of course it is all the people who usually make unwatchable crap on their own so if you add them all into New Moon what are you likely to get? It will be amazing if they can deter these attention seeking twits and actually cast some unknown talent and get off a good movie.

I haven’t been believing any of the rumors that have been going around lately. I’m just going to wait until we know for sure. What a coincidence that all the “Madonna Haters” surface when they anounce a casting rumor.
Please, let’s not get melodramatic. I understand that many of you are upset by this RUMOR, but let’s not all of a sudden “OMFG I ABSOLUTELY HAATTEE MADOONNAAAA AHHHHH!!”
The same thing happened for Dakota Fanning. I was surprised to find so many random dakot fanning haters.
I, for one, don’t see anything that Madonna can do in New Moon. Maybe the song she records can be used for the car ride to Volterra? idk. Maybe she’ll give financial contributions… or maybe she’ll find a role for her daughter (who is absolutely FABULOUS and is trying to break into the movie busines)
Madonna is WAY to above this hype. And I don’t mean that in an insulting way. Let’s also remember that she has a Tour this year so, no. She won’t be in New Moon.

It’s a good thing i’m always checking up on twilight lexicon! I was actually in the car driving my husband to work when I heard Ryan Seacrest (who hosts 102.7 KIISFM here in california) say that she had taken an interested in acting in New Moon because she was a close friend of one of the guys involved in the movie of New Moon(I can’t remember his name), so Seacrest commented on how he didn’t know if she would be involved in the music of the movie or actually acting in the movie, but his guess was she would do both. Hmmm….

They do not understand that they are ruining it. They don’t understand why Twilight succeeded. There is just a certain list of schlock that Hollywood feels “women want” and they dump a load of it on every “chick flick”. Unfortunately that means a load of fashion, often the whole movie revolves around fashion but often they just dump fashion right in the middle of what could be a perfectly good plot seemingly unaware of how inappropriate and distracting it is. Usually each actress needs her branded lingerie prancing scene and they pretty much dump that right in the middle of unrelated plots. Frankly I usually see better actresses in High School productions than in Hollywood. They can’t seem to get the idea of casting an appropriate person for a female role. Given the adolescent male style movies this director makes I just hope he doesn’t start with the “Bella could be hot!”, “Esme could be hot too!”, “Heidi is hot so lets upgrade her part to half an hour!” It will be a miracle if we don’t have to sit through Leah phasing wolf to nude and all males phasing wolf to sweat suits. They don’t have a clue what female audiences find entertaining and they think they can ask men and gay men what women want.

I was listening to MY FM in LA this morning and heard the words “Madonna” and “Twilight sequel”. then they went to commercial and i didn’t catch anything else but I assumed it was just some crazy rumor, just like Jonas Bros. *bleh*. So, I can’t wait til we start getting real info. on the new movie.

Her bff Guy Oseary is the executive producer to the movie starring Robert Pattison and Kristen Stewart. I guess I should say we don’t know yet if she is acting in movie about the second book “New Moon’… or if she will sing for the soundtrack – maybe do both.

I don’t remember him saying Madonna would be in New Moon or on the soundtrack. And believe me, I listen to him EVERY day here in LA. But I do remember him mentioning that the Jonas Brothers were going to try to get on the New Moon soundtrack.
