Twilight Saga News

Last week Stephenie Meyer came up as number 2 on the list of the 10 Most Facsinating People in Publishing. This week the number one slot was announced, and it’s Stephenie’s agent, Jodi Reamer. Jodi’s clients include authors such as Carolyn Mackler, John Green, Barbara Kerley, Michelle Knudsen, Lisa Yee, and Bruce Campbell to name a few. Here’s a rare interview with Jodi.
Many of you have been asking about the Twilight Saga Guide. Despite a couple of sites listing sale dates, there is no confirmed sale date according to Stephenie’s publicist. This statement appeared on the official Twilight saga site a couple of months ago "The Twilight Saga: The Official Guide, which was scheduled to release on December 30th, is being moved to 2009. A new on-sale date will be announced as soon as possible. As the only official guide about the Twilight Saga, we want to make this edition as special as possible. We are including more of the exclusive material that you all have been asking for over the past several months, which will require additional time. "

hey everybody, not to sound like i’m out of it or anything but what is this Twilight Saga guide? I mean is it suppose to tell us more about all the books; or more about our characters; or more about each characters part in the book; or there significant parts and thought in the book? I’m just curiouse thats all? what do yall think or know?
January 2nd, 2009 at 2:22 pm
yes it’s suppose to tell people about more about where each character came from like where they lived before they were vampires with like maps and others things that’s all i guess everybody will just have to wait and see when they release it for more details but it does talk little bit more each different characters then the any other books do.
hope i helped you by answered the questions the best i could. im so excited to to have them release the book i think every twilight fan is.

Wouldn’t it be great if the Twilight Saga Guide was released around the same time as the DVD? It’d be Christmas all over again!
When do you think we’ll get word on the DVD? My guess is April.

ok, funny thing: I went to Barnes and Noble on the 30th and was browsing when I saw the Unofficial Twilight Guide on the shelf, and then realized that that day was the release date for the official guide. I went to customer service to see if they had any left, and they said they were sold out and would put one on hold for me. Now I’m confused…what about all those books that were sold? Will the ones released this year be different? I just want to know what’s going on.

I just noticed that both borders and buy.com has listed 2/1/09 as the release date. I hope it’s coming out soon!

I really hope they officially release a date for this damn book that I’ve been waiting for! I’m pretty suspicious that Little-Brown totally pulled a Warner Bros. move by releasing the Guide in 2009, date TBA, rather than the original date, since Stephenie currently has no contract with them for a novel. They want to make money off of her, so they have to have something to rake in the profits this year.
You’d think someone from LB would know how well the HP fans responded to the moving of HBP…and I’m surprised that I haven’t seen anyone else make this connection with the moving of the Guide publishing date…

John Green is great, the agent has very good clients.

You know what’s totally not fair? The Chapters here in Windsor, ON already sold out their shipment of Twilight Saga: Official Guide like two weeks before Christmas!!!!!
January 4th, 2009 at 1:45 am
LisaAnn, I don’t think that’s possible. It hasn’t even been published yet, much less shipped to stores.

Borders is pre-selling it saying Feburary 2nd….i dont think you can presell a book with a false date isn’t that like false advertising?
January 5th, 2009 at 2:30 pm
I pre-ordered my book in early december. I was wondering why it wasn’t being delivered but now I see they have pushed the date back farther so I will just have to wait =[
